This may look complicated, but it's actually quite simple. You just have to be patient. I recommend doing nail art while watching TV or a movie.

Step one--figure out which colors you want to use. I'm using OPI Birthday Babe (silver), China Glaze Frostbite (blue), China Glaze Cha Cha Cha (green), and if I recall correctly, OPI's Purple With a Purpose. It's a good idea to pick colors that will contrast well.

Step two--Base Coat.

Step three--Whichever you want to have two stripes of, paint 2 thin coats of it. Be sure it is completely dry before moving on to the next step.

Step four--Use either nail striping or manicure tape guides to create two diagonal lines across each nail. You may want to do one hand at a time.

Step five--Paint the colors you want in the spaces between the stripes you taped. If you go over the tape a little, it's okay--that's why you have the tape. Let dry completely.

Step six--Pull off the striping/tape to reveal the two lines of color beneath. If you were impatient, you may need to do a little touching up.

Step seven--Paint 2-3 top coats over the final product. One probably won't be enough, because the layers of nail polish will be kind of bumpy, but two might be enough. Make sure to dry well between each top coat.
